City Garden Lodge is only a 3-minute walk from the Link Bus to Auckland's city centre with Parnell’s restaurants, cafes and art galleries on the doorstep. It is a 20-minute walk to Vector Arena.
Facilities include covered bicycle storage, self-service guest laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is a large BBQ located amongst the spacious gardens.
Each room has a desk, heating, fans and views of the garden. Guests have access to male and female shared bathrooms.
Originally built as the New Zealand Embassy for the Queen of Tonga, City Garden Lodge Auckland is surrounded by trees and lawns, with plenty of birdlife.
