O Forte Marechal Luz, localizado a 15km do centro da cidade, foi construído em 1909 sobre ruínas. A antiga bateria de artilharia de costa, composta por quatro canhões, ainda está lá e é ativada todas as manhãs de sábado, durante a troca da bandeira por soldados com trajes de época.
Para visitar o lugar é necessária autorização prévia da guarnição militar.
